The Basic First Aid course is designed to train personnel in basic first aid skills. It is ideally suited to companies where employees have direct contact with the public such as restaurants, pubs and shops etc. The course has an emphasis on dealing with emergency life threatening situations in the absence of an Occupational First Aider and keeping the casualty alive until professional help arrives. This one day course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare participants to administer emergency first aid care. Participants will learn a high level of practical skill so that they can deal competently with any situation that may arise. All participants receive a emergency action notes designed by first aid and ambulance instructors here in Ireland. Upon successful completion of the course participants are presented with a Basic First Aid Certificate and a Heartsaver CPR card from the Irish Heart Foundation, which is valid for one year.
