1. Eligibility: The Prize Draw ("Draw") is open to individuals who have successfully signed up for VerifyEd ("Platform") during the period from April 17, 2024, to May 1, 2024 ("Promotion Period"). Employees, contractors, directors, and officers of VerifyEd ("Sponsor"), its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, as well as the immediate family members and household members of each, are not eligible to participate. The Draw is subject to all applicable UK laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
2. Entry: All individuals who successfully sign up for the Platform during the Promotion Period will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Draw.
3. Prizes: The prizes available to be won are as follows:
The total number of prizes available is eight (8). Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The selection of the prize is at the discretion of the Sponsor and is non-negotiable.
4. Winner Selection and Notification: The winners will be selected by random drawing conducted by the Sponsor or its designated representatives. The drawing will be conducted on or about May 31, 2024. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The winners will be notified via the email address provided during sign-up within seven (7) days following the drawing. The Sponsor shall have no liability for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by the potential winner for any reason.
5. Prize Acceptance: The potential winners must respond to the winner notification email within seven (7) days of the date of notification. Failure to respond within the specified time period may result in forfeiture of the prize. The potential winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (where permitted by law) within the specified time period.
6. No Cash Alternatives: Prizes are non-transferable and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
7. Publicity: By participating in the Draw, each winner agrees to allow the Sponsor to use their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
8. General Conditions: The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Draw, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Draw, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, the Sponsor reserves the right to award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment.
9. Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in the Draw, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant's participation in the Draw and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Draw; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Draw or the processing of entries.
10. Governing Law: The Draw and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
11. Disputes: Any dispute arising out of or related to the Draw shall be governed by the dispute resolution procedures set forth in the Terms of Service of the Platform.
12. Winner List: To request a list of winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to VerifyEd Ltd, Towngate House, 2-8 Parkstone Road, Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom, BH15 2PW, within thirty (30) days following the end of the Promotion Period.
13. Sponsor: The Sponsor of the Prize Draw is VerifyEd, Towngate House, 2-8 Parkstone Road, Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom, BH15 2PW.
By participating in the Prize Draw, each entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
